Taylor Baycroft

Taylor Baycroft serves as Vice President of Drilling at CPX Energy, where he leads the design, execution, and optimization of the firm's pilot and development drilling programs.  He brings over a decade of experience with a strong track record of delivering complex horizontal wells, including U-Turn designs, ahead of schedule and under budget while maintaining exceptional HSE performance.

Prior to CPX, Taylor held senior engineering and leadership roles at Titus Oil & Gas III, Vencer Energy, Percussion Petroleum II, Noble Energy, and Concho Resources, where he built and managed multi-rig programs, engineered extended lateral developments, and consistently drove meaningful reductions in well costs and cycle times through physics-based drilling practices and novel well designs.  He is known for his disciplined operational approach, technical rigor, and ability to translate data and field execution into consistent capital efficiency.

Taylor holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering with a geology minor from Texas A&M University, graduating Cum Laude.
