Scott Herstein

Scott Herstein serves as the Business Development Manager at CPX Energy. Mr. Herstein was most recently in Business Development and Land roles for BKV Corp., Sulphur River Exploration, Inc., and Diversified Energy.

From 2016 thru 2020, Mr. Herstein was the Vice President of Business Development and Land for Chisholm Energy Holdings, LLC, where he secured more than 40,000 acres of leasehold and wells in the Northern Delaware Basin. From 2013 to 2015, he was the Vice President of Business Development for EXCO Resources, where he was responsible for supporting corporate strategies. He spent 13 years at Quicksilver Resources, starting in 2000 as Senior Landman and was promoted to the role of Vice President of Acquisitions and Divestitures. He has negotiated and closed multiple transactions in the Barnett Shale, Sandwash Basin, Permian Basin, Antrim Shale, and New Albany Shale.

Prior to joining Quicksilver, Mr. Herstein worked in Corporate Development for Union Pacific Resources Company, and as a Landman at Kaiser-Francis Oil Company and Energy Land Services.

Mr. Herstein holds a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
